STUDIO ROOS MARTHE THIJSEN

Roos Marthe Thijsen is a multidisciplinairy artist, working from her art studio, located in an old brewery in the Netherlands. There she creates oil paintings, ceramics, and works on paper.

Her expressive painting style is marked by a raw yet subtle handwriting, signed with an hourglass — symbolising the Mother Form. Her figurative works explore the human body as a gateway to the artist’s inner world: the soul, a search for beauty, and reflections on intimate domesticity. Above all, her work reveals the power to make the everyday poetic, inviting the viewer into her world.

She studied Painting at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Her work is held in collections in the United States, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and by private collectors in Brabant.
